What Are You Going To Do With That
Garage?
Written by

For many homeowners, the garage loses a lot of its potential by
slowly becoming a giant space for junk and excess storage. The
thought of tackling that junk and storage is enough to put someone
to sleep, but just think of all the possibilities you have to
transform your mundane garage into a livable space. Not to mention
the value that a remodel or addition can bring to your home.
The first thing you should do before you begin to remove all the
occupants of your garage during a spring clean, is to sit down and
carefully think about what you could turn your garage into. Would a
home office, guest room, music studio, or work shop benefit you and
your family? Or maybe it would work best for you to remodel your
garage to accommodate to several functions. For example, using your
garage to shelter cars, store things, and function as a workshop.
The possibilities are endless.
Keep in mind, your garage can be fitted with the same comforts of
your home. Phone wiring, plumbing, and heating and cooling can all
be installed into your garage for optimal use. For this reason, a
possible consideration would be an upper level addition to your
garage. This would create extra space without interfering with your
floor plans. It would also increase the value of your home.
