Phone System Repair

When you are having problems with your phone system, the first
thing you must do is determine whether the problem is coming from
within your home or if it is related to an outside wiring issue. If
the problem exists with outside wiring you must contact your
telephone company.
A service professional will test circuits and components of
malfunctioning telecommunication equipment and isolate the source of
malfunction, using test instruments and circuit diagrams. Your
service professional will most likely need an ID to identify the bad
circuit. It is a good idea to keep that information handy in case a
problem does arise.
Once the service professional identifies the problem, they will then
analyze test readings, computer printouts, and trouble reports to
determine a method of repair. It is possible that repairs will need
to be made to defective components, such as switches, relays,
amplifiers, and circuit boards. Also, connections may need to be
removed and remade on the wire distributing frame to change the
circuit layout.
